ABOUT ME

I graduated from Martin's Mill High School in 2007 and joined the Army at age 17. I did basic training at Ft. Jackson, Advanced Individual Training Phase I at Redstone Arsenal, and Phase II at Ft. Sill. Stationed at Ft. Carson summer of 2008 for my one and only duty station. I spent a total of five years on Active Duty, deploying to Iraq (Sep 2008-Sep 2009) and Afghanistan (June 2011-Mar 2012) as a Radar Technician. Honorably discharged June 2012, I am now a disabled veteran attending college at Colorado State University Pueblo.

In August of 2012, I was hired by Niitek as a civilian contractor to work on ground penetrating radar systems. I deployed to Afghanistan Sept 2012 to Jan 2014, working on a great number of military installations across the country. In Oct 2013, my employment was transferred to Universal Solutions International due to the Government Contract being awarded to the new company. During a mandatory downsize, I volunteered to have my employment terminated to return home for good.

I began at Pueblo Community College in the summer of 2014. I started with an Associate of Engineering and stayed inactive, focusing solely on my classwork. I didn't join Phi Theta Kappa until the middle of the Fall Semester 2015 before I was set to graduate in the Spring. I didn't know what Phi Theta Kappa was, but once I found out, I immediately jumped in as the Vice President of Service for Alpha Rho Theta. Phi Theta Kappa has enriched my enjoyment of college exponentially and opened doors I never thought possible. I became the Vice President of Leadership Fall 2016, and then the Colorado-Wyoming Regional Communications Officer. I helped with volunteering at the college student pantry, setting up the Chapter's table at the Relay For Life event at our campus, setting up Oktoberfest, and even creating and running a program in conjunction with the pantry that offers coupons to students who might otherwise not use coupons.  After graduating in the Spring of 2016, I started working on an Associate of Business Management, eventually becoming Chapter President in Fall 2017.

I transferred to the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs Spring 2018 for a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, but changed to Engineering-Mechatronics Fall 2019 at Colorado State University-Pueblo to be closer to home and better achieve my overall academic goals.
